WHAT IS THE CAPACITY OF THE ENTIRE WINERY FOR A WEDDING?
MY EVENT IS NOT THAT BIG. DO I HAVE TO RENT THE ENTIRE WINERY?
Orchid House has multiple venues within it that are appropriate from 10-100 guests. Any event with greater than 100 guests require a full facility buyout. Please reach out for rental information to learn more.
CAN I HAVE A CEREMONLY ONLY?
At this time, Orchid House does not offer a ceremony only option.
WHAT DOES MY RENTAL FEE FOR ORCHID HOUSE INCLUDE?
The facility rental fee includes the rental of the venue[s] in which you are interested. It also includes planning and coordination of food, beverages, certain banquet tables, Orchid House standard banquet chairs, Orchid House standard place setting including glasses and silverware and high tops for cocktail hour.
CAN I BRING IN MY OWN FOOD, ALCOHOL OR CATERING SERVICE?
No, all food and beverages are provided by Orchid House.
WHAT ABOUT OTHER VENDORS?
With the exception of the caterer and rentals, all other vendors are your decisions. We would be happy to provide you with our list of preferred vendors at your request. Orchid House does require prior approval of wedding planners but not all vendors.
DOES ORCHID HOUSE HAVE A FULL BAR?
Yes, we have a full bar. The beverage requirements and pricing details are contained in the wedding information and wedding contract.
DO YOU OFFER SEASONAL DISCOUNTS?
Yes, we offer seasonal discounts for winter months.
DOES THE BUILDING HAVE HEATING AND COOLING?
Yes, the building has heat and air.
WHAT ABOUT TENTS?
The tents do not have heaters or air conditioners. You can rent those from a preferred vendor.
DO YOU ALLOW THE SPACE TO BE DECORATED?
We welcome such decorations as flowers, lighting, centerpieces, and candles (as long as all candles are in votives or a hurricane to prevent damage to our surfaces). Unfortunately, we can’t allow anything to be applied to the walls or buildings.
HOW MUCH SPACE CAN I TELL MY FLORIST I HAVE FOR CENTERPIECES?
For plated dinner service, we recommend centerpieces that are no more than 12 inches. If you plan on using chargers, these eliminate even more space on your table, so please keep this in mind as well.
I'M GETTING MARRIED OFF-SITE. WHEN WILL MY GUESTS HAVE ACCESS TO THE VENUE FOR COCKTAIL HOUR AND RECEPTION?
While you, your wedding party, and your close family members have access to the venue from 10:00am to 11:00pm, your other wedding guests should aim to arrive at (or during) the scheduled cocktail hour.
THERE IS A LARGE GAP OF TIME BETWEEN MY OFF-SITE CEREMONY AND MY COCKTAIL HOUR. WHERE CAN I SEND MY GUESTS FOR THIS TIME IN BETWEEN?
We have many local bars and restaurants within minutes of our venue: 1815 Tavern, Mad Jacks Grill & Pub, Six Horses Tavern, James Place… just to name a few! We are also a short drive from Downtown Chagrin Falls.

AM I ALLOWED TO HOLD A DATE WITHOUT A DEPOSIT?
In order to secure the space, Orchid House requires a signed contract and a deposit of 50% of the facility fee plus a $1,000 catering deposit.

Orchid House has a full kitchen and a catering menu with numerous options.

First visit -- had dinner with two other couples. Venue was lovely, rustic and charming. Dinner was delicious, we sat by the window overlooking the water and fire feature. Weddings must be beautiful here.
We had the most wonderful time here and the food was impeccable. The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond for us. We will definitely be back and bring friends and family with us!
The day of our wedding was beautifully done! The entire day they checked up on us to make sure we were happy. That is exactly how you want to feel the day of your wedding! We had our dream wedding and you helped make that possible!
